Host Your Next Adventure at Camp Whitsett
During the Fall and Spring seasons, Camp Whitsett is available for use by many diverse groups. You don’t have to be a member of Scouting America to enjoy the many experiences Camp Whitsett has to offer!
We provide facility rental opportunities for all types of youth organizations, including YMCA groups, church retreats, school groups and clubs. We cater exclusively to large groups (sorry no individual camping reservations).
To qualify for a weekend booking, we ask that groups meet the following requirements:
Groups need to have a 100-person minimum if Camp Whitsett is providing program.
If program is not run by Camp Whitsett staff, there is no minimum camper count.
Groups must be able to provide additional liability insurance (COI)

About our “Design Your Own Adventure” option
You don’t have to be a Scout, YMCA, or religious group to enjoy Camp Whitsett’s offerings. Our facilities provide opportunities for:
- Discovery hikes
- Arts & crafts
- Campfires
- Kayaks & canoes
- Archery & other shooting programs
- Team building / ropes courses (high & low)
- Handicraft lodge
- And more
Booking Notes
We are flexible with group types, but to better serve you:
- We handle groups up to 120 in cabins and up to 300 in tents
- For non‑overnight or specialized events, please reach out early
- Groups are responsible for coordinating their programming, though we can assist with ideas and logistic support.
